Hosokawa Polymer Systems introduces their Heavy Duty model 1626 Granulator fitted with Feed Roll system.

Hosokawa Polymer Systems has introduced a new roll feed option for its line of granulators. This option has been designed to allow easy feeding of film and sheet scrap reclaim into the granulator hopper.

The new roll feed is currently operating in the field on several hosokawa Polymer Systems granulators, including the heavy duty model 1626. typical reclaim applications on the Heavy duty model 1626 include 4-ft. wide, 2-ft. diameter rolls of industrial carpet runners, 12-inch wide. 1/8" thick loading dock weatherstrips, and other extruded film and sheet type products.

A variable speed motor drives counter-rotating rolls to pull the material into the granulator hopper. Roll pressure on material is pneumatically controlled. input speed is infinitely variable, meaning the drive can be set at the optimum speeds for any application. material can be manually or automatically fed into the roll feed hopper.

The roll feed option is available on a variety of hosokawa Polymer Systems granulators, with openings from six to 98' wide. A wide variety of other granulator "feeding" options are available from the company. These include machines adapted to fully automated systems, unusual material shapes and sizes, and multiple feed applications.
